ZOMBIFICATION– the act of being turned into a zombie

IN HONOR OF MJ. i thot we wood do a little contest. in honor of MJ. its basically her contest. with more rules.
- Pick a scene from any Midnighters. any of the three already ritten that is. and stick in a zombie! fawesomeness rite?
- Keep it to one paragraph. (250 words or less. Less is better.)
- Make sure to give the title and author, so we can know whose work is being zombified. If these are not given, the zombified work will not be considered! (hehe. even tho we no its by Scott)
- Type your final paragraph into the comments.
- Each and every person on here will get one vote for there fav zombified chapter/page/paragraph/whatever.
- I have absolutely no idea what the prize will be. i guess thats up to you guys…ish. i mean, i was thinkin the original “top face rank for a week (or until i update the face ranks again…) with permanent title of choice”, but thats so original. but whatever. if you guys like that one i guess we can stick to that.
so…whatta ya think? well. thats the contest. hehe. i love zombification.

also, i have a fawesome story! my ring, which is, coincidently, named Zombification, well, i lost it in gym class on Friday, and freaked out when i realized it, after school.
and after a three day weekend and a bunch of other classes before and after, when i went to gym today IT WAS STILL THERE! on the floor in front of my locker.
this is unbelievable luck.

in going with scott theme of doing a tale of two zombies here is my part of the book:
“Good day!”said Monsieur Defarge, looking down at the pale white zombie that bent low over the shoemaking. It was raised for a moment, and a very faint voice responded to the salutation, as if it was at a distance: “Good day!”
“Still hard at work, I see?”
After a long silence, the zombie lifted its head again for another moment, and the voice replied “Yes-I am working.” This time, a pair of haggard looking eyes had looked at the questioner, before the zombie’s face had dropped again.
The faintness of the zombie’s voice was pitiable and dreadful. It was not from physical weakness, though confinement and hard fare no doubt had their part in it. Its deplaborable peculiarity was, that it was the faintness of solitude and disuse. It was like the last feeble echo of a sound made long and long ago. So entirely had it lost the life and resonance of the human voice, that it affected the human senses like a once beautiful color faded away into a poor weak stain. So sunken and suppressed the zombie’s voice was, that it was like a voice underground. So expressive it was, of hopeless and lost creature, that a famished traveler, wearied out by lonely wandering in a wilderness, would have remembered home and friends in such a tone before lying down to die at the zombie’s feet.
well there it is. is that not the perfect spot to add a zombie. just take out all the zombies and there you have yourself a wonderful passage!!!!!

well i personally thought that So Yesterday (by Scott-la) could have done with a good ol’ zombie chase through the building of Two-by-two Productions (to add some better mayhem, you know?), and so here is mine:
Your life was So Yesterday
Inside, it was pitch black.
We crept among formless black shapes, engulfed in a lightless silence. Jen bumped into something that scraped angrily against the concrete floor. We both froze until the echo trailed away, suggesting a vast space around us.
As my eyes became accustomed to the darkness, the cluster of objects around me felt somehow familiar, as if I had visited this place before. I forced my eyes to resolve shapes from the darkness. We were passing by a line of humanoid shapes, except that they could not be human. Some had intestines trailing from their stomachs, others had gaps in their heads with their brains showing through, still others had eyes dangling out of their sockets.
I reached out and brought Jen to a halt with a tug.
“What does this look like to you?” I whispered.
“I don’t know. Zombie models?”
She reached out to touch one.
“Oh my god…” she breathed. The model had moved, jerking its arm out to pass empty handed by the spot where Jen had been seconds before. A growl came from its putrid lips, the haggard face contorting in a gruesome expression. Around us, the others began to wake up too.
“Run!” Jen screamed at me. We turned and fled down the hall, being pursued by a zombie army.

yeah completely off topic (to the post itself, not the comments) but i just remembered that and thought it should be available for the twilight lovers on here (i’ve never read the book(s) actually)…
I hate Twilight conversations on the Internet with a passion, but, um, I found Jacob quite annoying. He manipulated Bella into thinking she loved him. Which she didn’t, not really. I think she just cared about him as a friend, and Jacob confused her by saying she loved him. I have the strongest possible opposition to Jacob.
And I don’t really think Edward is abusive, he’s just too…scared of losing her. He has real issues and it made me want to throw up in places. ugh.
I have to think of a good phrasing for this…hmm…okay: Serafina, why do you have a stronger aversion to Eclipse than to the rest of the series? I know at least 2 or 3 people who liked Eclipse best. You may have explained this before but..I’m not a good reader…
I contest the statement that Bella is an annoying wimp. She’s quite annoying throughout most of the series, but I don’t think she’s a wimp, except about losing Jacob/Edward. She risked quite a bit, and I don’t think wimps really go around jumping off cliffs and riding motorcycles…even if it was just to hear Edward’s voice in her head.
uhhhhhh I’m such a hypocrite. I promise the word “Twilight” will never appear from me again. For as long as I shall live. 😛 I just had to say something about it because I finished Eclipse today with a bunch of thoughts about it and I had to post them somewhere…
jacob is okay, but i also hate Twilight conversations on the internet.
so i won’t say anything except replying to what allie-wa said, because she asked.

i think that i liked Eclipse even less than the rest of the series for a couple of reasons.
1) i felt the whole “choice” thing was contrived—if you didn’t know what was going to happen from page one, you weren’t paying attention.
2) the external vampy conflict didn’t really…matter as much as in the other books—they didn’t introduce anything new, and Bella barely seemed to care about the whole Volturi threat.
3) just generally, it wasn’t anything new. it was all continuation of stuff from the previous books, with not really any new elements. i’ve got no problem with continuation or anything, but it seemed sort of…contrived.
4) (and this is more a personal problem than a problem with the book) i read Twilight and New Moon a long time ago, probably around the release of New Moon when they weren’t really as “big”. i mean, there was some internet following, but like, none of my friends had read them, so i went into them more unprejudiced. but then between that and the release of Eclipse i had to deal with half the internet, and a bunch of my friends, going all Twilight-mad, and i started to get really sick of it. like, yeah, i thought it was cool when i first read it, but prolonged exposure to EDWARD CULLEN IS MY JESUS fangirls made me just think more and more “you know, there’s a lot of much better books out there.”
no offense, Twilight fans. just *my* personal opinions about Eclipse–not trying to stop any arguments.
i stop talking about Twilight now. really.
except to say that true, Bella does do some crazy dangerous stuff, but i think that emotionally she’s a “wimp” because even when she did that stuff, it was following someone else, or being crazy with loss. i think she was sort of a wimp because she loses herself in people—where, anywhere in the series is there any evidence she had any sort of life/interests before Edward and Jacob?
i still like jacob though. if only because, when around him, Bella seems to become more of a three-dimensional person. she takes the initiative to argue and fight with him and she’s much more bearable when with the wolves.
and i was exaggerating about the ‘abusive’ thing, though i gotta say some of the Eclipse stuff was borderline into that creepy zone. and second the vomit.

just kidding. But really. I love history. It’s the only subject at school I actually like. Even though I don’t like anything after the renaissance. I can still remember everything without trying. it’s really interesting.

i got a 100 on my last test. average grade for rest of the class was, like, 80.

i don’t like science now that it’s crazy-hard. i mean, i still *like* it, but it’s not my favorite class or anything. bio honors is death. two chapters every four days.
I hate my science class right now too, though for the exact opposite reason. It’s just way too easy. I’ve had all of the info before because my eighth grade science teacher was really good and taught me about everything up through highschool Biology, and for some stupid scheduling problem I got stuck in regular Bio this semester. So it’s very boring.
And I decided I hate extendable dog leashes. We were down at the dog park with my Border Collie today, and as we were leaving I got one of the dog leashes wrapped around my ankle as my dog was being chased by another dog, and now I have rope burns across both my ankles. It stings really, really, really badly, and I can’t walk right on that ankle because of it.
I’m having really bad luck. First I sliced open my toe about a week and a half ago, and now, just as it was almost healed, I got these stupid rope burns. Arrrghhh!
Sorry for my long rants about science and dog leashes and stuff. I’m going to go write. That always makes things better.
Oh, and anyone have a good name for a stainless steal watch? It’s new, and I’ve used all of my favorite tridecalogisms on other things. Anyone have a good thirty-nine letter phrase?

Science class is boring. And pointless. I’ve never liked science. Ever. Especially biology. My school doesn’t have honors biology. or honors social studies. just honors language arts and math (aka algebra). But then, I’m still in middle school.
Dog leash burns? That really must suck.
And I’m praying that the gay guy on American gets voted off. Seriously. His name is David Hernandez or something. He worked as a stripper in a gay strip club before American Idol. The gay guy CANNOT win. I’m kinda happy because Danny, or whatever his name is, was voted off. 😀 He was EXTREMELY gay. Gayer than the student teacher in my Algebra class. And my student teacher is pretty gay, so that’s saying a lot.

I have an odd story. today i realised my guinea pig followed basically all midnighters rules. she was born on december 1st (12th month + 1) and she died on may 12 (darkling day)

I don’t go on Spring Break til next week. Actually, I have Friday off, too. It’s teacher-parent conference day! It’s so much fun! Actually, yeah. My parents never do conferences. So I get a free day off while my teachers don’t. ha! They don’t *deserve* a day off.
and omg. The book was terrible. It was written for the sole purpose of preaching to kids about Global Warming. Through Maximum Ride. I hate cheap sequels. The ruin everything.
Now I guess I’ll go sign up for SPEW. ‘cuase I’m cool like that.
i have off Friday, then two weeks of STUPID QUARTERLIES then spring break.
yeah, sequel is sitting downstairs and i was worried about something like that and have been too afraid to start it.

i went to china co yesterday!!!! it was awsome!!!!! then we went to shoe carnivle. i got a new dress for easter. it is lime green
Serafina, I probably wouldn’t read it. It pretty much ruined Maximum Ride. It doesn’t really have a point…I mean, there’s no good battles. There isn’t much detail about the “bad guys”, so they are really really really static, and you can’t really hate them. The funny parts aren’t funny. I also hated the fact that Ella wasn’t in it at all.
and Max seemed to do things spontaneously…as in, not without warning, but without reason, and she is completely out of character, and so is Fang.
Also, there’s no suspense…no action to look forward to…none of the stuff I liked about the first three books.
With Jeb, it’s the usual “I hate you, I’ll never forgive you” thing. No new developments. No anything. Just…lameness. I hope that if there is another sequel, it will be better than this one. It seemed rushed. like James Patterson is out of practice.
I go on spring break next week. I’m going to Florida! Yeah! I’m so excited. Only one more day, or approximately 29 hours plus some minutes. (I’m no polymath) I can’t wait!

Lizzy isnt going to be going on very much probably not at all. her computer is acting up and stuff. im also in the same class as lizzy and we have had a lot of homework lately. we had to rite a whole bunch of paragraphs about thre european countries, we had to write about our 6 and 7 grade year, and we had to do a slide show book report. she has been really busy, so she probably wont be on for a little while. oh, and we also had to write a persuasive essay on banning or not banning skateboarding in public places. she has been really busy and she also told me to tell you guys that she is really sorry for not being on for so long.

Well, i’m leaving for Orlando tomorrow morning, so I’m not going to be commentting for a week. No internet and computer for a week! How am I going to survive? I guess I’ll hopefully be to busy to think about it, and my 90 page manuscript is getting its own seat on the plane (Okay, not really, but it is in a nice folder in my carry-on, I guess editing that will keep me busy when I’m having computer withdrawl) Have a good week guys!

I hated that it didn’t say what happened to Luna in the epilogue. I didn’t like the epilogue at all, actually…
i no. it was kinda too happy. i think its because she already planned the ending when she wrote the first book, and even though the books got ‘darker’ towards the end, she didnt want to change it. i also have a vague suspicion that luna and neville ended up together.

Everyone in my town has known everyone since they were like three. Seriously, everyone in my entire SCHOOL went to the same pre-school. ‘cept me. They all talk about it, who their teachers were and who was in their 4k class blah blah blah.
People used to ask me out. like earlier this year. But I said no to everyone. So people stopped asking me. 😛 What goes around comes around. In high school I’ll be all alone ’cause I turned down everyone in middle school…lol.

I’m the opposite of a small town. My highschool has at least 2000 students in it, and it has at least six different elementary schools feeding into it. Nobody knows everybody. I’m pretty sure I only know like a tenth of the students in the school, maybe less. It’s very, very crowded. I have one class with about forty students in it, and my smallest class is thirty students or something like that. I wouldn’t mind living in a small town where at least if you get to the snack bar line and it’s not only a few seconds after the bell you may not have to wait for thirty minutes just to get a lunch that you don’t have time to eat anyway.
i guess you can cal lmy town big too. we have 4 jr. highs going into our high school. we also have 2 campuses a 9th grade campus and a 10th, 11th, 12th grade campus.
my fish died to day 😦 😦 😦 😦 his name was bubbles.
Wow. My high school (well, the one I’ll go to in 2 years) has like 2000 students or something. The only reason it has so many is because they messed up the school zoning (they are trying to fix it by building a new school). After the new school, I think it’ll have like 1000 or so…my city isn’t that small, but it’s just a bunch of suburban neighborhoods…and then there are the ghetto apartments…ugh.

my town’s got one high school (though a lot of kids go to uberrich private), one middle school, and three elementry schools.
it’s not technically that small, but it seems that way.
as in: i was having conversation the other day with three guys from my art class, and we realized that three of us were in the same fourth grade class (and the other had moved from another town a couple years ago)
so yeah. not very small town, but small town mentality.
i had the shittiest day of my life today.

Today was a really good day. I think I’ll lean in the direction of really, really good. Okay, really, really, really, really good. I got to sit next to my crush on the bus on a field trip. Thirty to fourty minutes of sitting next to my crush. Too great. And I’m starting to make up with my best friend. We’ve been fighting for over a month now. I’m very, very happy. Oh, and I had a new idea for the book I’m writing. I’m very close to finishing it. All I can say is that its been a very good day.
Anyway, even if you don’t like fanfiction.net still go over there and read the fanfiction. It is totally fawesome. The author incluced Midnighters, The Last Days, and Uglies in it. I love it.

I don’t know how many Abercrombies my mall has. Probably two if not more. I try not to count. I hate clothes shopping too. Give me a Barnes and Noble over an Abercrombie anyday. If it were up to me I’d spend like ten minutes clothes shopping. Then I’d spend six hours walking around a barnes and noble. Barnes and Noble, what’s not to like. They have books of all kinds, a bargain section, comfortable chairs that they don’t seem to mind if you sit in for hours (unlike the people at the store that sells those massage chair things. Did you know that they frown upon two teenage girls coming into their store just to go and sit in the chairs and talk. They don’t like it even more if you bring a book to read. Who knew?) and they usually have some sort of a place like a Starbucks inside, so if you get hungry or thirsty you can pick up a beverage or pastry. I could live in Barnes and Noble. I wonder if they’d notice if I just hid behind the shelf with all of Scott’s books on it every night. I wouldn’t bother anybody. I could help restock for room and board!

i have a tendency to rearrange the local Borders (which is a loser about restacking, let me tell you) so that books i like are up front covering ones i don’t.
I usually go to Books a Million. my mom doesn’t like Barnes and Noble because they were “selling witchcraft books in the front of the store”. And I’m like, so what? lots of places do that. like, um, books a million. But not that I tell her that. Then we’d be going to Walmart to buy books…*shudders*
my books a million likes making a game out of hiding all the books in a series (actually, I don’t know if they do. But one can only assume, based on how they arrange their books). Like, Specials is on one side of a bookshelf while Uglies and Pretties is on the other side…and then the boxed set is like, on the bottom shelf while Extras is on the top…and then Peeps and Midnighters are together, but a few shelves away from Uglies. It’s kinda scary looking for books. It took me 20 minutes to locate the third maximum ride book.
